The Night Journey from Masjid al-Ḥarām to Masjid al-Aqṣā, followed by the ascension to the heavens, is undoubtedly one of the greatest miracles in the life of the Prophet ﷺ. It was there that he led the Prophets in salah, and it was during that blessed journey that Allah gifted this Ummah the obligation of salah.
But was this the only connection the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had with Masjid al-Aqṣā? Was Masjid al-Aqṣā only the destination of a miraculous Night Journey?
Or was its presence in the life of the Messenger ﷺ far deeper than many of us realise?

Glory be to the One Who took His servant by night from Masjid al-Ḥarām to Masjid al-Aqṣā, whose surroundings We have blessed, so that We may show him some of Our signs. Indeed, He alone is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing
